How your lung cancer is treated will depend on a variety of factors, including the type of lung cancer you have, its size and location and the stage of the cancer. Over recent years, we have seen great advances in how lung cancer is treated. As a result, many people are now able to live well and live for longer with all types and stages of lung cancer than they did before.

A friend kept encouraging me to go and see the GP. I felt a bit of a fraud but the surgery was brilliant. The GP decided to send me for an x-ray ‘just in case’. That x-ray changed my life.
